UB STUDENTS Commemorate death of mates killed in recent strikes

Students of the University of Buea-Cameroon, yesterday Thursday 27th 2008, engaged a peaceful match as part of commemorating activities to mark the death of all their mates killed by the security forces in recent student strikes. Classes went on smoothly in the campus till mid day when students gathered in black dresses in front of the Arts Lobby Building and proceeded in matching with placards requesting that the government should publish findings about those who masterminded the killings. It should be noted that Mforlem Gilbert was the first student to be shut by security forces during the 2005 student strike led by the University of Buea Student Union UBSU. Since then students have been killed by the police in successive strikes.
